Astronomic Tour

Hi! My name is Davide and I was born in Rome. After several years spent abroad for my studies and career path, in 2017 I came back to my home city to work at the Rome Astronomical Observatory.
As a passionate lover of my city and a professional astrophysicist, I will be glad to offer you an unusual perspective of Rome: a city where the histories of science, philosophy and religion are inextricably connected – sometimes they clashed, sometimes they went hand in hand. We will visit both iconic places and more hidden gems of Rome, discovering how some of the greatest scientists and thinkers of all time unlocked the secrets of our universe, surrounded by the overwhelmingly beauty of the city.
To conclude the tour, we will reach a private terrace in the Vatican neighborhood: after admiring the sunset while tasting a selection of Italian wines and home-made appetizers, we will use our telescopes to observe the wonders of the sky above Rome. It will be a pleasure for me to share my knowledge of astronomy while enjoying a stunning view over the night skyline of the city!
